비, 또 다시 할리우드 진출

비의 미국행 소식이 전해졌다.

비는 1월 15일 방송된 OBS ‘독특한 연예뉴스’와 인터뷰에서 “앨범을 낸 지 2주 정도 됐는데 미국에 새로운 영화 때문에 제작자를 만나러 가야 한다”며 미국 영화계에서 러브콜을 받고 있음을 알렸다.

이어 비는 “확실하지는 않지만 다음 주 중 출국한다. 돌아와서 계속 이어가겠지만 음악프로그램을 한 주정도 쉬게 됐다”며 아쉬움을 표했다.

비는 “좋은 영화 2개 정도 이야기되고 있는 게 있어서 간 김에 프로듀서들을 만나보고 인터뷰하고 올 생각이다. 이번에 가면 또 다른 소식을 전해줄 수 있을 것 같다”고 덧붙였다.

지난해 12월 비는 브라이언 A. 밀러 감독의 액션 스릴러 영화 ‘더프린스’ 촬영에 합류하여, 브루스윌리스, 존쿠삭 등과 연기 호흡을 맞췄다. 비는 2009년 워스쇼키 형제의 ‘닌자 어쌔신’ 주연으로 할리우드에 진출했다.

한편 비는 지난 6일 정규 6집 음반 ‘레인 이펙트(Rain Effect)’ 발표하고, 가수 활동을 이어가고 있다.

Rain to visit U.S. for movie appearance

Rain hinted at a plan to star in Hollywood films in the near future as he unveiled Thursday his trip to the U.S. next week.

In an interview with OBS, the world-famous star said he would leave Korea to meet producers and talk about two possible films he could take part in.

However, the star expressed regret about having to leave the music scene. “Only two weeks have passed since I released a new album, but I have to head to the U.S. to meet a producer for a new film,” he said.

Rain recently had a part in the Hollywood film “The Prince,” an action-thriller directed by Brian A. Miller in December last year. His co-stars were Bruce Willis, John Cusack and Jason Patric.

The performer also made a grand return with his sixth album, “Rain Effect,” the first since he was discharged from the military in July last year.
