영국 왕실이 지난 2013년 한 해 동안 박근혜 정부를 포함한 국빈, 기업, 지인 등으로부터 받은 선물들의 리스트를 공개했다고 영국 현지 언론이 15일 밝혔다.
그 중 미국 제과회사 마스(Mars Inc.)는 초콜릿으로 만든 윈저성 미니어처를, 바레인 왕국 국왕은 순은 말과 금 야자수로 장식된 시계를 엘리자베스 여왕에게 선물했고, 박근혜 대통령은 “나무 함 (wooden box)”를 전달했다고 영국 일간지 데일리 미러가 15일 보도했다.
리스트 중 특이한 선물로는 엘리자베스 여왕의 딸인 앤 공주가 받은 난쟁이 모양 정원 조형물 (lawn gnome), 스틸트산 치즈 및 수컷 말코손바닥사슴에 올라탄 앤 공주의 초상화 등이 있는 것으로 전해졌다.
찰스 왕세자와 카밀라 부부는 향수, 올리브 오일, 그리고 왕세자와 영국 어린이 에니메이션캐릭터 (Postman Pat: 우체부 팻 아저씨)를 본뜬 도자기 장식품 등을 받았다.
또 찰스 왕세자의 차남인 해리 왕자가 받은 선물은 각종 티셔츠와 야구모자, 미국 영부인 미쉘 오바마로부터 받은 가죽 자켓 등이다.
반면 윌리엄 왕세손과 케이트 왕세손비는 갓 태어난 장남 조지 알렉산더 루이스 왕자를 돌보느라 작년 한 해동안 국빈을 맞이하지 못해, 받은 예물이 없는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

Gifts to Prince Charles and his wife Camilla included perfume, olive oil and a ceramic figurine of Charles with Postman Pat, a British cartoon character from Jordanian filmmakers Rubicon.
Prince Harry’s gifts for 2013 consisted of clothing, including a leather flying jacket from U.S. first lady Michelle Obama, some T-shirts and baseball caps.
The official lists did not include any items for Prince William and his wife Kate, as they did not embark on any official visits during 2013 due to the birth of their newborn son, George.
