LG Electronics is well known for its eye-catching ads, mostly targeted at overseas consumers, and it has scored another hit with a viral ad spoof that ran on YouTube.

The video, created by a local ad agency named Krema, has recorded almost 4 million hits since its release in September, all thanks to an imaginative scenario coupled with some unusual actors.

The titular character is a chicken by the name of “Lizzy,” who is out to show just how the optical image stabilization works on the LG G2 smartphone’s camera.

Chickens have an innate ability to move their bodies while keeping their heads completely stationary. This ability inspired the stability function on the camera ― the main idea is that, no matter how much its surroundings may move, the camera stays stationary.

To show just how stable and blur-free the approach is, “Dave,” a cameraman, puts Lizzy into a camera-fitted helmet to film while constantly on the move.

On Monday, LG G2 received accolades from Consumer Reports which said the “LG LG G2 has a stunning 5.2-inch display and a battery that doesn’t know when to quit. The power and volume button cluster is on the back, under the camera, a design LG considers more ergonomic and intuitive than the usual top or side mount.”

Consumer Reports is the world’s largest independent product-testing organization.

The G2 was included on a list of its top 10 electronic devices of the year.
