After a five-year hiatus Drunken Tiger is finally coming out with a new album on Friday, titled “The Cure.”

The legendary hip-hop group began performing in the United States in 1990 and consists of artist Tiger JK, who usually has prominent underground hip-hop artists such as Bizzy and Paloalto joining him when performing.

The upcoming album will feature Bizzy and Yoon Mi-rae, established female rapper and Tiger JK’s wife.

This will be the first album produced by the label FeelGhood Music, which Tiger JK founded in July after leaving Jungle Entertainment.

The album moves away from the current sounds of trendy hip-hop, instead including a variety of beats and sounds with a simpler, acoustic vibe.

Drunken Tiger recently posted on its official Facebook page that the album is for “people who are in need of warmth and healing.”

The nine tracks on the album paint the story of a man living life as a hip-hop artist.

“Beautiful Life” is about realizing that life is worth living after going through times of hardship and struggle. “Time Travel” touches upon how music brings nostalgic happiness. The album will also feature songs “Sweet Dream,” “BizzyTigerYoonmirae,” “All in Together,” “GO,” “Get It IN” and a reggae version of “The Cure.”
