The 48 Hour Film Project Seoul is launching this year’s competition with a “black and white” party in Itaewon on Saturday.

The festival is a competition to be held later this fall, where filmmakers, actors and others form teams and compete to produce the best film within 48 hours of being given a basic brief.

Organizers will announce the locations and other details of this year’s competition at the event, as well as the dates and venues of the networking sessions, and where those looking to get involved can meet other filmmakers interested in forming a team.

The competition is an annual event, which last year attracted 53 teams of up to 15 people.

The launch party will feature a screening of last year’s winner, and raffles and games for prizes.

Admission is 10,000 won, but the first 48 to arrive will get in for free. Those who wear black and white to the event will get a free drink, and the best dressed will receive a free bottle and cinema tickets.

The event is at 10 p.m. at Lucid Dreams Club in Itaewon.
