R&B solo vocalist Wheesung will be joining hip-hop duo Bae Chi Gi at the group’s concert in Busan on Saturday.
The show was originally intended to be a solo concert for the hip-hop duo; however, representatives of the singers’ agency YMC Entertainment announced on Tuesday that Wheesung will be making a special guest appearance. The artist, who is most famous for his Korean rendition of Craig David’s “Insomnia,” completed his military service earlier this month and the concert will mark the singer’s first performance since his discharge.
In January the members of Bae Chi Gi released their comeback EP “Vol. 4 Part 2,” which included the group’s chart-topping title track “Shower of Tears.” The release of this single was the first time the band had ever reached No. 1 on any music chart in the eight years since debuting in 2005.
The concert titled “2013 Bae Chi Gi Show: Conquering Whole Country” will be held on Aug. 31 at the Busan KBS Hall.
