Japanese Tobacco International Korea globally launched its Winston XSuperslims 1 mg in Korea on Monday.

Korea was chosen as a test bed for the super-slim cigarette, as the country has high demand for high-quality, low-tar products, JTI Korea said.

Winston XSuperslims 1 mg is the fourth product of the Winston XS lineup on sale here, following the launch of XS Lights, XStyle Lights and XS Micro Super Lights in February.

Winston XSuperslims 1 mg contains 1 milligram of tar and 0.1 milligram of nicotine. All four Winston XS products are priced at 2,300 won ($2.07) per pack.

Winston holds the second-largest share in the global tobacco market.
