Restaurant 8 wins wine list award two years in a row

Hyatt Regency Incheon’s Restaurant 8 has received an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator’s 2013 Restaurant Wine List Award for two consecutive years. The magazine chooses winners every year by evaluating a restaurant’s wine list in regards to wine information, and the pairing of wine and food. This year, around 3,800 restaurants were awarded the title. Restaurant 8 at Hyatt Regency Incheon has built its reputation by having various wine programs and cellar stocks of 4,000 bottles from around the world. The hotel offers exclusive wine membership programs “Club Vino” and “Sommelier’s Wine Selection” which offer monthly wine packages and tasting classes. 


Uva Promotion at Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Il Ponte

Millennium Seoul Hilton’s popular Italian trattoria Il Ponte will hold a monthlong promotion showcasing uva, or “grapes” in Italian. Throughout August diners will be able to enjoy a five-course meal based on the fruit with dishes such as cooked ham on ricotta cheese with grapes, walnuts and virgin olive oil dressing; fusilli with shrimps and grapes in white wine reduction sauce; and grilled beef tenderloin with black grape sauce. Experience taste of Thailand at Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel

Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel is serving authentic Thai dishes for the event “Thai@Feast” from Aug. 16 to 25. The dishes will be served at Feast located on the 41st floor by guest chefs from Bangkok’s Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit. Thai dishes included in the menu are stay gai, marinated chicken skewers with peanut sauce; yum nueau yang, grilled beef sirloin salad with Thai herbs; and khao tang na tong, rice cracker with minced chicken, prawn, and coconut milk. There will be a live corner where food is cooked and served on the spot. “Thai@Feast” is priced at 60,000 won for the lunch buffet and 80,000 won for the dinner buffet. Canadian delights at Intercontinental Seoul COEX

Enjoy Intercontinental Seoul COEX’s “Canadian Delights with Wonder Hours” held in the Lobby Lounge during the month of August. Featured dishes include stroganoff made with Canadian beef, pork belly reduced in maple syrup, and northern clam salad made with canola oil. Big Rock draft beer will also be available as well as a selection of wines for an additional charge of 15,000 won per person. Barbie Kids room reopens at Sheraton Grande Walkerhill

The renewed Barbie Kids room at Sheraton Grande Walkerhill is ready to welcome customers for a day of fun and pampering. A unique room in the hotel, the Barbie Kids room is decorated exclusively with Barbie products and comes complete with Barbie toiletries and amenities. “Forever Barbie Package” includes a one-night stay in the Barbie Suite Room, breakfast for three, and Walkerhill’s handmade chocolate box.
