Air France on Friday celebrates the 30th anniversary of its operating passenger flights connecting Korea and France.
The French air carrier was the first European airline to start a Korean operation, on July 5, 1983.
Air France was also the first airline that served Korea’s kimchi as a side dish in its in-flight meals in 1996.
In 1998, the company joined the code-share agreement with Korean Air for the Seoul-Paris routes.
Since 2003, Air France has operated daily flights from Seoul to Paris.
Currently, Air France leaves Paris at 1:35 p.m. and arrives in Seoul at 7:05 p.m. following day, while leaving Seoul at 9:25 a.m. and arriving in Paris at 2:20 p.m. the same day. The flight time takes about 10 hours and 50 minutes.
