Summer desserts at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul


The hotel’s lobby lounge is holding the “I Love Berries” promotion from May 1 to June 30. The lounge will serve desserts and beverages featuring fresh seasonal fruits. The promotion offers an afternoon tea set menu on weekdays for 32,000 won per person and a dessert buffet for 50,000 won on weekends. The afternoon tea set will serve fresh fruits, cranberry scones, mini sandwiches, and a selection of five desserts of the day. The buffet will include 20 kinds of desserts such as raspberry mille-feuille, blueberry cheesecake, strawberry macaroons, cranberries with mascarpone cream, blueberry pie, cherry panna cotta, and chocolate covered strawberries. Fusion dishes at Millennium Seoul Hilton

Taipan, the hotel’s Chinese restaurant, presents a set menu combining culinary elements from both China and Japan. It offers two set menus at 110,000 won and 149,000 won per person including tax. The menus include crab meat and mushroom miso cream soup, steamed whole abalone in garlic sauce, stir-fried prawns in porcini sauce, stir-fried Korean beef and scallops with black pepper, braised bamboo pith with tofu and dried scallops sauce, steamed sea cucumber filled with minced shrimp, abalone steak with wasabi butter sauce, stir fried scallops and asparagus in porcini sauce and Korean beef fritter, eggplant covered with cajun spice and oolong tea flavored crème brulee. Barbeque lunch at Grand Hyatt Seoul

JJ’s Beer Garden BBQ at the hotel is introducing a Sunday barbeque lunch, featuring a German-style buffet with a variety of draft beer, a selection of salads, sausages, meatloaf and more. There will be a live music performance to create an authentic German atmosphere. All guests can enjoy unlimited BBQ. It is priced at 55,000 won for adults with two glasses of draft beer and 27,500 won for children with two soft drinks. Also, there will be a special program for children to keep them entertained. Outdoor bar at The Plaza

Garden Fest opens its outdoor space from May 21 to Oct. 2. Families and friends can enjoy cool draft beer and wines under hundreds of glittering lights. Also, the hotel chefs will present premium dishes for diners. Side dishes are priced from 16,000 won to 49,000 won, beer starts at 6,000 won per glass, and side dish set menus are priced up to 150,000 won. Meanwhile, guests can enjoy happy hour from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the weekdays for 48,000 won for a group of two including one side dish and unlimited draft beer. Charity dinner at Sheraton Incheon Hotel

B Flat, the hotel’s bar, holds a Starwood charity event on May 31. Starwood Korea, a branch of the global hotel chain, is organizing a gala dinner for the local charity, the Beautiful Fund. At the event, chefs from five Starwood hotels present live barbeque stations with signature BBQ dishes including skewers, sirloin, chicken breast, pork fillet, mixed vegetable, pineapple salsa and more along with complimentary wine or beer. Chadwick International School’s choir will perform at the dinner. Profits of the night will be donated to the Beautiful Fund. The dinner is priced at 120,000 won per person.
