월드 투어 ‘슈퍼쇼5’에 나서는 그룹 슈퍼주니어가 사상 최대 남미 투어를 펼친다.

슈퍼주니어는 오늘 4월 21부터 27일까지 일주일간 브라질, 아르헨티나, 칠레, 페루 등 남미 4개국을 순회하며 ‘슈퍼쇼5’을 개최, 남미 대륙을 한류 열풍으로 사로잡을 예정이다.

슈퍼주니어의 남미 첫 공연은 4월 21일 브라질 상파울로에서 열리며, 23일 아르헨티나 부에노스아이레스, 25일 칠레 산티아고, 27일 페루 리마에서 연달아 펼쳐질 예정이다.

SM엔터테인먼트 관계자는 “특히 이번 공연은 슈퍼주니어가 남미에서 선보이는 첫 단독 콘서트로 한국 가수 사상 최대 규모인 남미 4개국을 순회하는 투어로 펼쳐진다”며 “전세계에서 뜨거운 관심을 얻고 있는 슈퍼주니어의 글로벌 한류 제왕다운 높은 위상을 다시 한번 확인케 한다”고 평가했다.

슈퍼주니어는 지난 10일 오후 인도네시아 자카르타에서 진행된 구글플러스 화상 채팅 서비스 ‘행아웃’을 통해 전세계 팬들이 지켜보는 가운데 남미 공연 개최지를 첫 발표해 화제를 모아 팬들의 기대를 모았다.

한편, 슈퍼주니어 월드 투어 ‘슈퍼쇼5’의 포문을 여는 서울 공연은 오는 3월 23, 24일 양일간 서울 올림픽공원 체조경기장에서 막을 올린다.

Idol group Super Junior to tour South America

K-pop group Super Junior have added four South American cities to their world tour next month.

The group’s agency, SM Entertainment, said Super Junior would perform in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on April 21, Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 23, Santiago, Chile, on April 25 and Lima, Peru, on April 27 as part of the their “Super Show 5” world tour.

“The tour is Super Junior’s exclusive concert. It is the biggest K-pop tour ever held in South America as far as we are concerned. We will show how the ‘Hallyu king’ does it,” said SM.

Earlier, Super Junior participated in a live chat with fans at the YouTube APOP “STAR WEEK” Google+ Super Hangout Event held on March 10. In the video footage, the group personally confirmed their tour dates in Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Chile.

“Super Show 5” will kick off in Seoul on March 24 at the Olympic Fencing Gymnasium. The group will then go to China, South America and Europe to continue the tour.

The group has been holding the concert annually since 2008. The first three shows toured Asian countries and last year the group held their first world tour. Last year’s world tour attracted more than 900,000 fans.
