Busan Foundation for International Activities is accepting applications for support funds for activities by foreign communities.

The foundation will give up to 500,000 won ($450) to at least 20 expatriate groups to help them produce their events.

Last year, the BFIA helped 24 different groups run events, including a donation drive by Busan International Women’s Association, a traditional performance by Indonesian students and a Mongolian basketball competition.

Communities seeking support should register their group on the BFIA website (www.bfia.or.kr), download a request form and send it to irs@bfia.or.kr.

Events and communities should be non-profit and recipients will be required to send photos and a report on the event.
