Boo-Kang Tech, an environmental tech company, is seeking to list on the tech-heavy KOSDAQ possibly in the first half of this year with Mirae Asset Securities as its lead underwriter, a BKT official said.

BKT is looking to raise around 30 to 40 billion won via an initial public offering.
The IPO proceeds will be used to finance environment and energy plant engineering projects both at home and abroad.

Also, the stock floatation will help the company secure funding from banks for further project investments as it will boost its cash reserves and credibility, the official explained.

The IPO will enable the company to take on “10 times” as many projects as it can now.

The KOSDAQ listing is in line with its plan to emerge as a “comprehensive energy solutions company” that can not only develop and operate its specialty wastewater treatment systems, but also other bio-plants.

BKT is seeking to tap Malaysia’s so-called “River of Life” project aimed at restoring the Klang River. It is especially keen on river cleaning and filtration systems development for the Klang River project, the official noted.

The company expects the project to name the final list of private participants this year.

With its global endeavor, the energy company, which has a wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary, is also looking to list on the U.S. NASDAQ in the long-term, or within 10 years.

BKT founder and CEO Kim Dong-woo owns a controlling 36.56 percent stake in the company, according to its audit filing.

미래에셋, 부강테크 코스닥 상장 준비

국내 환경에너지 기업인 부강테크는 상반기에 코스닥 상장을 위해 주관사 미래에셋증권하고 준비 중이라고 회사 관계자는 말했다.

부강테크의 상장규모는 약 300-400억 정도 예상 되며 공모자금으로 국내외 다양한 환경어네지 프로젝트 사업에 투자할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

부강테크는 프로젝트 사업을 “10배” 더 수행할 수 있는 능력을 확보하기 위해 상장을 추진 중이라고 했다. 그리고 전문분야인 수처리 시스템 외에 바이오 플랜트 기술개발 및 운영할 수 있는 “복합 에너지사”로 발전하기 위해서이다.

미국 법인을 소유하고 있는 부강테크는 글로벌 프로젝트로 확장하면서 장기적으로 또는 10년 내 미국 나스닥 상장을 목표를 두고 있다.

회사는 올해 말레이시아의 클랑강 복원 사업인 “리버오브라이프”에 참여를 기대하고 있다.
