Film producer Lee Eun, whose works include last year’s hit romance “Architecture 101” and 2011 animated film “Leafie, A Hen into the Wild,” has been appointed the new head of the Korean Film Producers Association, the organization said on Monday.

Lee, along with his wife and film producer Shim Jae-myung, founded their film house Myung Films in 1995. Their box office hits include “The Contact” (1997), “Joint Security Area” (2000), and “Forever the Moment” (2008).

Lee and Shim last year announced that they were founding a film school offering a two-year program in filmmaking. The school, tentatively named “Myung Film Institute,” is scheduled to open in 2015.

Producer Won Dong-yeon, of Realise Pictures has been reelected as the vice president of the organization. Won is the producer of last year’s period flick “Gwanghae: The Man Who Became the King.” Film producers Uhm Yong-hoon (“Love Fiction,” “Silenced”) and Choi Yong-bae, who produced last year’s highly political flick “26 Years,” have been appointed vice presidents.
