A teenage boy was taken into custody after he got drunk and brandished a knife while having dinner with his family, police said Monday.

Gyeonggi provincial police detained a 17-year-old high-school student Sunday on charges of threatening police officers with a knife.

According to police, the student got drunk during a family dinner at a restaurant, and started arguing with his father. The verbal fight escalated, leading police to step in.

The student allegedly swung a 35-centimeter long knife he took from the restaurant kitchen at police officers, yelling “I’ll kill you all!”

He was apprehended after being tasered by the officers.

아버지가 따라준 술로 인해 만취한 상태이던 B군은 아버지와 말다툼을 시작했고, 신고를 받고 출동한 경찰이 그를 저지하자 식당 주방에서 들고 나온 흉기를 휘두르며 “다 죽여버리겠다”라고 경찰들을 협박한 것으로 알려졌다.

경찰은 공포탄을 하늘로 발사하는 등 경고했으나, B군이 이에 불응하자 결국 테이저건으로 그를 제압한 후 검거했다.
