Gangwon expects record number of foreign visitors to ski festival

Foreign visitors to the annual ski festival of Gangwon Province are expected to hit a record number, according to Gangwon Provincial Government. The ski festivals are rising as a popular travel program for tourists from Southeast Asia.
The Fun Ski Festival, which runs until March 2 this year at ski resorts including Yongpyong and High1 Resort, expects to see a total of 3,500 participants this year, an increase of 12 percent from the previous year. It has seen foreign tourists mainly from China, Hong Kong and Singapore. The festival offers tourists opportunities to enjoy various winter sports as well as entertainment activities and travel across the country.
