Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari will pay an official three-day visit to South Korea on Monday, Cheong Wa Dae said Thursday.

During his visit here, he will have summit talks with President Lee Myung-bak over ways to enhance cooperation in economy, trade, infrastructure and development, the president’s office said.

Zardari will also meet South Korean business leaders to discuss the expansion of bilateral investment and trade.

“The Pakistani president’s visit this time will be an opportunity to expand bilateral cooperation, a year before the two countries mark their 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations,” Lee’s office said in a press release.

Two-way trade volume was $68.5 billion between July 2011 and June 2012.
