The Korea Communications Commission on Wednesday appointed Shin Yong-sub, former KCC standing committee member, as president of the Educational Broadcasting System.
“We had a policy of choosing someone professional in the public broadcasting service and who has the ability and vision to provide lifelong education to the public. Shin was the perfect fit,” the commission said.
Shin, scheduled to be inaugurated on Friday, will serve for three years.
He graduated from Yonsei University and started his public service at the Ministry of Information and Communication. He resigned from his seat on the standing committee earlier this month.
