The KTO held the special promotional events in Russia for local travel agencies and media, in response to the increase in Russian tourists seeking oriental medicine treatment in Korea. The number of Russian tourists visiting Korea for medical services has surged from 5,098 in 2010 to 9,650 in 2011. The KTO expects the number to reach 10,000 this year.
The Korean Oriental medicine tour features a mix of Western and Oriental medicine treatments as well as spa and beauty services, according to the KTO.
