Eco-friendly food maker Pulmuone invites foreigners to take part in an educational program that includes kimchi-making from Wednesday through the end of November at its kimchi museum in COEX, southeastern Seoul.

Participants of the program “I Love K,” short for “I love Korea and kimchi,” are given a chance to look around the kimchi museum which shows the history and different types of kimchi, traditional storage methods for the Korean pickled cabbage as well as kimchi-related antiques and materials, Pulmuone said in a press release.

Participants can also try on hanbok, Korean traditional dress, take photos, and listen to lectures on Korean dining, housing and clothing culture on the spot.

Any foreigner with an interest in kimchi and love for Korea is welcome to participate in the educational program “I Love K” for 10,000 won per person. The two-hour program runs three times a day at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. from Wednesday through Sunday. Up to 30 people can take part in a single program.

Pulmuone’s Kimchi Museum was designated as the 47th Excellent Farming and Fishery Food Culture Experience Center in 2011 by the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
