Pop rock group CNBLUE has wrapped up its first arena tour in Japan, having attracted a combined 100,000 screaming fans.
The “Come On” tour took the boys to six cities in Japan where they performed a total of nine concerts. The group’s final shows were held at Saitama Super Arena on Oct. 20 and 21 where they performed many of their hit songs including “Have a Good Night,” “Wake Up,” “Blue Sky,” “Tear Drops in the Rain,” “Time is Over” and their Japanese debut single “In My Head.”
“We were surprised by the numbers in the audience here at the Saitama Super Arena. Thank you so much for coming,” said the band’s lead vocalist Jung Yong-hwa.
“Lately we’ve been doing a lot of individual activities, but I feel like we’re CNBLUE when we perform on stage together as four members.”
Before officially debuting in 2009, CNBLUE played on the streets and at small clubs in Japan. A year later, the boys released their first mini album in Korea titled “Bluetory.” The album’s smash hit lead single “I’m a Loner” brought the boys into the mainstream. That same year, the group won many rookie awards, including Best Newcomer Award at the Melon Music Awards ceremony.
CNBLUE released their third EP album, “Ear Fun,” in March with a number of hits including “Hey You,” which reached the top spot of many online music charts.
