The Camarata Music Company Chorale and Neue Welle Piano Ensemble will perform an autumn concert on Saturday, featuring songs from films, TV and musicals.

The CMC Chorale will perform choral selections from “Lord of the Rings,” “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” “Oklahoma” and a variety of music from popular TV shows and musicals.

Mijung Shin, Joosoon Lee, Andreas Ehret and Ernst Nolting-Hauff of the Neue Welle Piano Ensemble will perform Lutoslawski’s “Paganini Variations,” Bolcom’s “The Serpents Kiss” from “Garden of Eden,” Mendelssohn’s “Symphony No. 4: Italian Symphony,” and music by Bennett and Piazzolla.

The company is a non-profit organization that puts on performances by musicians of multiple nationalities. A portion of concert proceeds go toward establishing a music program in local orphanages and low-income areas, and creating a performing arts program for multicultural children.

Camarata’s auditioned choir, the CMC Chamber Singers, is currently looking for three basses and two tenors. Prior experience is not necessary.

The 27-strong choir mostly rehearses on Monday evenings and performs about 10 concerts per year, with a repertoire including classical, jazz, choral pop and Latin.

The concert starts 7:30 p.m., at Chungdong First Methodist Church in central Seoul. Tickets are 15,000 won in advance or 25,000 won at the door.

Tickets may be purchased in advance by emailing tickets@camaratamusic.com (English and Korean), or by calling 010-9806-8655 (English only).

Those interested in auditioning should contact Ryan Goessl at ryan@camaratamusic.com or 010-9806-8655. For more information, visit www.camaratamusic.com.
