Jeon Mi-jeong of South Korea has clinched her 20th career win on the Japan LPGA tour.

She shot no bogeys and eight birdies in the third round of CAT Ladies in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, on Sunday, and won the tournament with a 13-under 206.

The 30-year-old beat her compatriot Lee Bo-mee and Japanese Morita Rikako, tied for second, by four shots. Jeon bagged 10.8 million yen (155 million won) in prize.

It is Jeon’s third win of this season on the Japan tour after Resort Trust Ladies in June and Nichi-Iko Women’s Open in July. She started to play on the Japan LPGA tour in 2005, and scored three wins in 2006, four in 2007, two in 2008, four in 2009, three in 2010, and one in 2011.

Jeon is the 11th pro golfer to have captured 20 or more wins on the Japan LPGA tour.

With the win, she has secured a permanent seeding on the Korea LPGA tour. The Korea LPGA awards a permanent seeding to a golfer with at least 20 wins on the LPGA tours of Korea, Japan, U.S. or Europe, or a golfer inducted into the KLPGA Hall of Fame.

Jeon is the fourth player after Ku Ok-hee, Pak Se-ri and Shin Ji-yai to have received a permanent KLPGA seeding.

If Jeon chalks up her 30th win on the Japan tour, she would qualify for a permanent seeding in the Japan LPGA.
