Police in Japan suspect a man may have fatally stabbed two people because an acquaintance refused to give him a job, sources told The Yomiuri Shimbun.

Kyozo Isohi, 36, was arrested Sunday in Osaka in the fatal stabbings of two people he told police he did not know.

The Yomiuri Shimbun said Isohi had visited an acquaintance in Osaka to ask for a job.

Police, who are to analyze Isohi‘s psychological state at the time of the killings, suspect his failure to get the job might have prompted the attacks.

Isohi was released May 24 after completing a prison term in Niigata prefecture for violating the Stimulant Drugs Control Law, the Utsunomiya probation office in Tochigi prefecture said. After his release, he visited the probation office and inquired about a place to stay.

The office told him of a private rehabilitation center for drug addiction in Tochigi prefecture, where he had lived, and while staying at the center he worked part time for a cleaning company.

Isohi left the center Friday and visited the acquaintance in Osaka about a job Saturday.

On Sunday, he allegedly stabbed the two victims half a mile from the home of the acquaintance.

Sources the newspaper he had bought a kitchen knife 10 minutes before the attacks. (UPI)

다음날인 일요일 그는 지인의 집에서 800m 정도 떨어진 곳에서 두 사람을 흉기로 찔렀다.

그는 범행을 저지르기 10분 전 부엌칼을 구매했다고 요미우리신문이 전했다.
