An 84-year-old Swedish woman who fell through the fabric of a chair on her balcony was stuck for two days, friends said.
Neighbors in Karlskrona told the Kvallsposten newspaper they became concerned when they noticed the woman's newspaper hadn't been brought inside and the woman failed to show up for church on Sunday, The Local.se reported Wednesday.
Friends and neighbors contacted the building's caretaker, who was accompanied by Lilian Orrgren, chairwoman of the tenant's association board, to the woman's apartment Monday and they entered with the skeleton key.
The elderly woman said she had been enjoying the sunshine Saturday when the fabric of the chair tore and she fell through. She said she attempted to free herself but wound up trapped for two days.
The woman, who was conscious when she was found, was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. (UPI)

스웨덴에서 한 80대 여성이 이틀간 의자에 끼어있다가 겨우 구출되는 사건이 발생했다.
UPI통신 보도에 따르면 이 여성이 교회에도 나오지 않고 신문도 수거하지 않자 걱정된 이웃과 친구들이 20일(현지시간) 그녀가 거주하는 건물 관리인에게 연락했다고 한다.
곁쇠를 이용해 여성의 집에 들어간 그들은 그녀가 의자에 끼어있는 것을 발견했다.
여성은 20일 따스한 햇살을 즐기다가 의자의 천이 찢어지면서 몸이 꼈다고 설명했다. 그녀는 큰 부상을 입지는 않은 것으로 알려졌다. (코리아헤럴드)
