Specifications for the Galaxy S3, Samsung’s rival model against Apple’s iPhone 5, have been leaked by an employee of the company’s Chinese affiliate, news reports said Thursday.

The details include the Ice Cream Sandwich OS system, 1.5 GHz Quad Core CPU, 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display and an 8-megapixel camera.

There have been rumors about Galaxy 3’s specifications on the Internet, but the latest revelation of the phone’s design and specifications match the real product, reports said.

Samsung Electronics immediately launched internal investigations and learned that a Korean employee at the company’s affiliate in China sold the classified information to a local firm.

Galaxy S3 will be officially revealed in London on May 3, local time, while iPhone 5 is scheduled to be out in the market in June.
