A Filipino palace source said that President Benigno Aquino III and Korean TV host Grace Lee are still together, denying rumors of a break-up.

Local Philippine radio correspondent Junry Hidalgo said his source confirmed that Aquino and Lee had dinner together at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel last Saturday and they seemed happy.

Before their Saturday date, the source said Aquino and Lee were not able to see each other for a week because the President was busy attending to the problems of the country, including the Scarborough Shoal standoff, the power crisis in Mindanao, the consecutive oil price hikes and OFW woes.

The source said this could possibly be the reason for rumors of their break-up spread on social networks.

Meanwhile, Lee expressed her discomfort with the baseless reports on her Twitter account on Tuesday. Lee said, “I was just thinking the other day the media is eerily quiet about my personal life lately. Before I can fully savor it, here we go again.”

The 29-year-old Korean woman grew up in Manila and works there as a TV show host and radio disc jockey. Grace and President Aquino started dating in January, months after their initial meeting in Cebu last year.
