Korean singer Se7en will release new albums in Japan, China and Singapore starting next month after wrapping up his promotions in Korea last week.

The 27-year-old K-pop singer concluded two months of activities in Seoul with a final appearance on SBS’ “Inkigayo” which aired on March 25, and will begin a series of Asian promotions in April and May, YG Entertainment said.

“On April 25, Se7en will release a new single album in Japan and will hold showcases in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Nagoya and Osaka in May to promote his new album,” YG said in a statement. So far, the singer has released one studio album, “First Se7en,” in 2006 and also six singles in Asia’s biggest music market.

The singer will also promote his new single album in Hong Kong and Macao. Schedules for the two cities have not been confirmed yet, YG told The Korea Herald.

The singer surprised the country’s entertainment scene by collaborating with singer and producer Park Jin-young, who leads YG Entertainment’s rival JYP Entertainment.

His new album released in late January featured the title song “When I Can’t Sing,” written by Park, and the two performed together on stage, breaking down the rivalry between the mega-sized companies.

“Se7en has attempted to create a new music style through the collaboration and directly appealed to his fans with his song full of honest and touching lyrics,” YG’s PR team said.

The singer also became the talk of the town as his album was ranked at the top of the iTunes’ R&B/Soul chart in the United States and in second place in the same category in Canada on Jan. 31, even before he had staged a comeback show.

After a huge success here with the R&B song “When I Can’t Sing,” Se7en showed off his dance skills with electronic dance song “Somebody Else.”

According to YG, Se7en, whose real name is Choi Dong-wook, organized a special fan meeting while promoting his new album. Titled “LUCKY DAYZ,” the K-pop artist held a movie night to spend more time with his fans, the agency added.

Debuted in 2003, Se7en has become one of the most popular male singers in Korea and has expanded his reach to Japan and the United States in recent years.
