The Foreign Ministry is promoting a working holiday program campaign as part of its effort to foster 100,000 global youth leaders.

The working holiday program allows Korean women and men, aged 18 to 30, to stay in 11 countries that have agreed to be partners of the program for work and travel during a limited period.

The partner countries are Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Sweden and Taiwan.

The scheme will give Korean youths a chance to learn and enjoy other countries’ cultures during their stay.

After hosting five conferences for the program this year, the ministry is holding more conferences at universities to promote its benefits and encourage students to participate in the program.

During the conference, information will be offered about the program such as visas, living and working in those countries.

More information about the program can be found at www.whic.kr (Korean, English).
