Neowiz Games Corp., a Korean online game publisher, again broke its highest quarterly earnings record in the second quarter, recording 167.7 billion won ($155.26 million) in sales, up 13 percent from last quarter.

The company also posted 26.3 billion won in operating profit and 13.4 billion won in net profit for April-June, said its officials.

Overseas sales reached 90.1 trillion won, taking 54 percent of total sales, Neowiz officials said, adding that it was the first time for its overseas sales to top 50 percent of total sales.

The overseas sales figure rose 27 percent compared to the first quarter of this year, according to company officials.

A.V.A, which is dubbed Neowiz’s next-generation online first person shooter game, is gaining fast popularity in Japan and Cross Fire.

Another FPS online game, has secured up to 2.7 million simultaneous users in China. Cross Fire is also a hit in other foreign markets like South America and Russia.

“I’m joyful that we were able to show good results in the second quarter as well in overseas sales figures as a global gaming company,” said Neowiz’s chief executive officer Yoon Sang-kyu.

“In the latter half, we plan to feature a variety of new online games, including sports games, to make public a fresh success story.”
