The Prime Minister has sought to quell backbench concerns over his government's new gas strategy which spells out the key role the fuel will play in the transition to renewables. Despite the internal disquiet business and industry groups have applauded what they see as a common-sense approach to keeping the lights on as coal exits the grid.
