[헤럴드경제(광주)=서인주 기자] 공군 제1전투비행단은 31일 광주 광산구 기지 선봉문화관에서 고등비행교육과정 수료식을 개최했다.
44명의 신임 조종사가 공군 조종사의 상징인 '빨간 마후라'를 받았다. 이들은 입문, 기본, 고등 총 3단계로 이뤄진 비행교육과정을 1년 8개월간 수료했다.
이날 수료식에서는 6·25 한국전쟁에 참전한 외조부, 베트남전쟁에 파병된 조부 등을 둔 국토수호 의지를 다짐한 새내기 조종사들이 눈길을 끌었다.
이상학 공군참모차장은 신임 조종사에게 직접 빨간 마후라를 매어주며 "국민에게 신뢰받는 최강의 정예 공군을 이끌어달라"고 당부했다.
