Fisker Inc., a California-based electric vehicle and battery solutions maker, on Wednesday shared details of its all-electric luxury sport sedan the Fisker EMotion that is scheduled to launch mid-2017.

The EMotion, designed by world renowned automotive designer and founder of Fisker Inc Henrik Fisker, is equipped with a new electric power train system. The compact system allows for more leg room compared to an average full-size sedan by shortening the front and rear overhangs.

Its sporty silhouette is completed with a large curved front windscreen pushed forward and extremely low bonnet.

Fisker spoke at the Herald Design Forum 2016, which was held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul on Tuesday, where he expressed high expectations for innovative changes in the design and functions of electric cars due to cutting edge flat batteries.

The firm is aiming to achieve a top speed of 270 kilometers per hour, and a 640km electric range backed by self-made integrated spoiler and aggressive functional diffusor.

The EMotion will offer a full self-driving feature and maximum seat comfort with passengers having access to screens, the company said in a statement.

Launched in 2007, Fisker Automotive introduced one of the world’s first plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, the Fisker Karma. Seeking to become a game changer, the automotive company is focused on developing high-performance vehicles equipped with cutting-edge technology.
