President Park Geun-hye officially approved the appointment of two Cabinet ministers and a Supreme Court justice through an electronic endorsement system on Sunday, her office Cheong Wa Dae said.
Her approval for incoming Culture Minister Cho Yoon-sun and Agriculture Minister Kim Jae-soo came amid objections from opposition parties that have called them unfit for the Cabinet posts, citing their alleged ethical lapses and other issues.
Park is currently in Hangzhou, eastern China to attend the summit of the Group of 20 leading economies. Hangzhou is the second leg of her three-nation tour that includes visits to Vladivostok, Russia, and the Laotian capital of Vientiane. (Yonhap)
