Ladies’ Code Kwon RiSe in critical condition, being operated for over 7h

Kwon RiSe from K-pop girl’s group Ladies’ Code is in critical condition after a car accident in which fellow member EunB was killed. Sojung was also severely injured, while two other members and some support staff also suffered minor injuries. They are being treated at a hospital.

RiSe underwent seven hours of emergency surgery after suffering a serious head injury when the van carrying Ladies’ Code suddenly lost control and crashed into a protective wall at around 1:32 a.m. on a freeway near Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, her entertainment agency said on Wednesday.

Polaris Entertainment said later in the day that “Ms. Kwon RiSe has been severely injured from the car accident. She was rushed to the emergency room and has been going through surgery since 2 a.m.”

“The operation is not yet finished, and we are not aware of her exact condition … We are waiting on the medical team’s opinion,” the agency added.

As for Sojung, her injury reportedly is not as serious as RiSe’s. EunB, however, was killed in the accident.
