Comedian Cho Won-suk, nicknamed “Guilty Min-sik” after top actor Choi Min-sik, has been caught driving while intoxicated for the second time and was imposed a 5 million won fine, Yonhap reported on Thursday.

Cho, 38, was allegedly driving right after a drinking spree on May 24, and failed a breathalyzer test with a 0.21 percent blood-alcohol level. Under current law, driving with a 0.1 percent blood-alcohol level or higher is subject to the cancelation of a driving license.

In addition to forfeiting his driving license, the comedian was also ordered to pay a five million won penalty by the court.

The award-winning comedian grabbed public attention when he participated in comedy skits “School Girlhood” on SBS’ “People Looking for a Laugh” and “Ggal Ggal Yi” on MBC’s “Gag Ya,” but his popularity has waned with his drunk-driving history.

He was first caught driving under the influence of alcohol in 2010 when he rear-ended a taxi while drunk.

In the earlier case, Cho faced public criticism as he was found to have refused to take the breathalyzer test three times before being taken in for inspection and penalized.
