The 20th edition of the Dream Concert, an annual showcase of popular K-pop acts, will take place at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on June 7, the concert’s organizer Korea Entertainment Producers’ Association said on Tuesday.

Under the slogan “We Love You Korea,” this year’s Dream Concert is scheduled to feature today’s hottest K-pop groups including Girls’ Generation, EXO, Beast, KARA, 4minute, B1A4, VIXX, A Pink, Girl’s Day, T-Ara, U-Kiss, BTOB, Rainbow, Crayon Pop, Boys Republic, Dal Shabet and many more.

Launched in 1995, the Dream Concert is organized by the Korea Entertainment Producers’ Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This year’s show will mark the event’s 20th anniversary.

In celebration of the two decades of the show, organizers have prepared a number of special events including an awards ceremony to be attended by government officials, sponsors, industry officials and artists, and a special stage for the audience at the main part of the stadium.

An exclusive magazine celebrating the concert’s 20th anniversary and a limited-edition poster will also be released on the day of the show.

Over the years, the Dream Concert series has supported campaigns, such as “Love Music,” “Fight Against Illegal Music” and “Protecting Copyright,” in a bid to foster a sound music culture.

Every year, the concert’s proceeds have been used to help those in need in Korea and given as donations to nonprofit organizations. These have included Korea Food for the Hungry International, UNICEF, Compassion Korea, Community Chest of Korea and Child Fund Korea.

“The Korea Entertainment Producers’ Association, composed of over 350 member companies and 3,000 celebrities, has been working to promote the local entertainment and music industry,” said the association in a press release on Monday.

“The Dream Concert series provides a rare opportunity to watch the nation’s top musicians perform all at once, yet continues to abide by the event’s founding objective of remaining nonprofit and for the sake of the public.”
