G-Dragon and CL, the leaders of popular K-pop groups Big Bang and 2NE1, respectively, are featured on a track of the upcoming album by Grammy-winning American dubstep producer-DJ Skrillex.

The collaborative single “Dirty Vibe” ― made available Tuesday on SoundCloud ― is included on Skrillex’s new 11-track album “Recess,” which will be formally unveiled worldwide on March 18.

A collaborative effort by Skrillex, the two K-pop stars, YG head producers TEDDY and CHOICE37 as well as renowned DJ Diplo, “Dirty Vibe” presents a crossover between K-pop and electronic dance music. The bouncy song features a hyperactive and hypnotic beat with more expletives than usual by CL and G-Dragon, following the recent trend of using more vulgar content or lyrics in K-pop.

“Yeah, we do it dirty, we gonna celebrate every f―kin’ day,” says G-Dragon. He later launches into a long chant, “GGG to the D motherf―ker. Who am I? I’m Seoul, motherf―ker.”

CL launches into her section with “Hold up, you in the presence of a queen. I turn up, all the pretty b― love me” and later declares “You ain’t know? I’m your girl’s lesbian crush.”

Although the track might seem sudden, Instagram photos showing the two K-pop stars posing with Skrillex, uploaded last year, had long been fueling anticipation of potential collaboration, YG Entertainment said in a press release.

Moreover, the K-pop-EDM project is significant in that Skrillex has chosen to feature K-pop artists on his own album, and not the other way around. Past collaborations between K-pop singers and Western artists have mostly been in the form of a Western artist featuring on a K-pop song or partaking in the production process of an album.
