Big Bang member Taeyang released a teaser image promoting his new album on YG Entertainment’s official blog on Saturday night.

The promotional image is an intense black-and-white shot of Taeyang wearing a black turtleneck covering half of his face with black symbols tattooed on his forehead. The artist sports dramatic black eyeliner that adds to the dark atmosphere.

This upcoming album will be Taeyang’s first in three years after he released his first studio album “Solar” in 2010. That album fared well not only nationally but also abroad, landing him first and third place in the R&B section of the Canadian and U.S. iTunes charts, respectively. He is the first Asian artist to nab the top spots in those charts.

YG Entertainment is planning more online promotion for the album.

“We will soon announce more details about Taeyang’s comeback,” the agency said. “It has been quite a while since Taeyang has come out with a new album, so we ask for your support.”
