Kara’s Goo Hara breaks down on ‘Radio Star’

K-pop star Goo Hara has become the brunt of much netizen talk after throwing a fit, and a beverage, on a recent episode of the popular talk show “Radio Star.”

During an interview alongside fellow Kara members Kang Ji-young and Han Seung-yeon and JYP Entertainment mogul Park Jin-young, Goo became very sensitive and defensive while discussing the topic of dating and ended up breaking into tears and throwing her bottled drink across the table.

During the episode, Super Junior’s Kyu-hyun, one the regular hosts on the show, commented on Goo’s personal dating life, stating, “If I open my mouth, Hara will be over,” insinuating he knew stories about her dating life. Although he meant it as a light-hearted joke, Goo became upset and burst into tears.

Later, officials from Kara’s agency DSP Media said in a statement that although Kara recently made its comeback, people seemed only to be interested in Goo’s dating life, which upset her. It went on to claim that the artist’s behavior during the broadcast was inappropriate and that she is sincerely apologetic.
