The Korea Baseball Association claimed that KBS TV reporter Han Sung-yoon should be kicked out of the baseball circle for making a Twitter comment insulting athletes’ intelligence, regarding a “splash ceremony” on a female announcer.

“Baseball players, if you guys are not educated enough to use the expression ‘I goed,’ that’s fine. But please have some basic courtesy towards female announcers,” Han tweeted in English on Sunday after Im Chang-gyu, a LG Twins player, mistakenly poured a bucket full of water on a female announcer during an interview with his teammate Jung Eui-yun, who was the intended target.

KBA, which offered an apology for the incident, called for Han’s resignation from his position and officials from the association said they would not respond to Han’s future requests for interviews with baseball players.
