A 33-year-old man stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death and killed himself in Gangnam in southern Seoul on Tuesday.

According to Gangnam Police Station, the man identified only by his surname Oh disguised himself as a delivery man and entered the apartment of his former girlfriend, 33-year-old Choi.

Oh killed Choi and stabbed her fiancé Park, who had tried to stop him, and then committed suicide.

Park is now in a critical condition.

Police suspect the murder to be a crime of passion and are investigating the case.

서울 강남의 주택에서 치정에 의한 것으로 추정되는 살인 사건이 발생해 2명이 숨지고 1명은 중태다.

오씨는 택배 배달원으로 가장하고서 빌라를 찾아가 초인종을 눌러 최씨가 문을 열어주자 곧바로 최씨에게 흉기를 휘둘렀고 이를 제지하는 박씨의 얼굴과 복부 등을 찌른 뒤 스스로 손목을 그어 자살을 시도한 것으로 알려졌다.

최씨와 오씨는 병원으로 옮겨졌으나 숨졌고 박씨는 현재 중태인 것으로 전해졌다.

경찰은 치정에 의한 범행인 것으로 보고 목격자를 상대로 수사할 예정이다.
