Protests across the Muslim world against a U.S.-made film trailer deemed insulting to the prophet Muhammad have shown few signs of abating, with the latest protests in Pakistan over the weekend leaving at least 19 people dead.

Demonstrations also took place in Indonesia, Libya, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Nigeria, among other countries, over the weekend. Scores have been killed in violent protests over the “Innocence of Muslims,” an amateurishly shot piece of film reportedly created by Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, since Sept. 10.

The film trailer, which may or may not be part of a longer piece of work, depicts Muhammad as a womanizer and pedophile.

On Saturday, a Pakistani government minister, Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, offered a $100,000 bounty to anyone who kills the maker of the film. The Pakistani government distanced itself from the minister through its spokesman.
