After garnering the highest number of gold medals in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, China is expected to put in another strong performance in the upcoming 2012 Games in London.

But they are not getting any help from this guy.

A hilarious video of a young Chinese runner’s abysmal performance at the 110 meter hurdles event of the Chinese University Games has gone viral.

Immediately after the race starts, he stumbles on the first hurdle, and then on the second.

From that point on, jumping over hurdles becomes irrelevant to him. He just rams straight through the hurdles.

But one hurdle gets caught around his neck, and the runner stumbles into his competitor’s lane.

Still refusing to quit the guy keeps running. He smashes the next hurdle and finally jumps, and unsurprisingly trips, over the final hurdle.

Amazingly, he managed to cross the finish line before three other competitors, including the unfortunate runner whose lane he briefly trespassed on.

인터넷 동영상 사이트 유튜브에 올라온 이 영상에서 중국 대학 선수권 대회에서 110 허들 경주에 참가한 한 선수는 허들을 뛰어넘지 않고 모조리 부수면서 경주를 강행한다.

이 선수는 경주가 시작되자마자 곧바로 허들에 걸려 넘어지기 시작한다. 계속해서 허들에 걸리자 그는 뛰어넘으려는 시도 자체를 포기하고 온몸으로 허들을 박살내기 시작한다.

급기야 그는 부순 허들 중 하나가 몸에 걸려 옆 레인을 침범하기에 이른다.

그러나 그는 침착하게 마지막 허들을 ‘부수고’ 레이스를 마친다.

놀라운 것은 그가 꼴찌가 아니었다는 점. 그는 레인을 침범당한 불행한 선수를 포함해 무려 세 명의 선수보다 먼저 결승선을 통과했다.
