Woman accused of choking boyfriend because he ‘refused to marry her’

A Florida woman was arrested Saturday for allegedly choking her boyfriend because he refused to marry her, according to news reports.

Nikoleta Karoly, a 24-year-old reportedly from Hungary, needed to marry her boyfriend in order to get a green card, but he had different opinions on the matter.

He said he was not sure about marrying Karoly because of her violent temper and the fact that she had beaten him before while arguing about her visa.

Karoly seemed to have finally snapped when her visa expired last week, while her boyfriend still refused to tie the knot. She choked and slapped him, and threatened him with a kitchen knife.

The boyfriend told police he feared Karoly may try to kill him.

When police confronted Karoly about the injuries, she explained they happened during sex “because it makes it better.”

Karoly was arrested and charged with domestic abuse.

한편 경찰이 카롤리에게 그녀의 남자친구에게 난 상처에 대해 묻자, 그녀는 ‘애정행각 도중에 난 상처’라고 해명했다.

그녀는 현재 가정폭력 혐의를 받고 있다. (코리아헤럴드)
