The third annual Culture Communication Forum organized by the Corea Image Communication Institute will bring leading cultural figures together in Seoul in September.

Vladimir Tolstoy, director of the Leo Tolstoy Museum estate; Dominique Wolton, research director of the French National Centre for Scientific Research; Hermann Parzinger, president of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation; Geradine Doogue, ABC Australia journalist and Yi Sun-kyung, a Canadian filmmaker and writer, are among those who will participate in the forum.

The institute said that it has also invited Italian novelist, filmmaker and producer Antonio Scuratti to the event.

The Culture Communication Forum 2012 will be held from Sept. 4-6 at a variety of venues where participants will be better able to understand and experience Korean culture.

Participants will tour both the old and new cultural aspects of Korea, including a tour of Korea’s palaces and a visit to the Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art. A discussion on ways to promote Korea will be held on Sept. 6 followed by a gala event at the Westin Chosun Seoul.

“We hope that the CCF participants will be inspired by their stay in Korea and play a vital role in introducing Korea in their home countries through articles, interviews and other channels,” said the CICI in a press release.

Other Korean experts at the discussion will be Sohn Jie-ae, president of Arirang TV, lawmaker-elect Jasmine Lee and Shin Kyung-sook, author of “Please Look After Mom.”
