Ryu Si-won’s drama starts with embarrassing viewer ratings

Hallyu star Ryu Si-won’s ambitious TV drama “Good-Bye My Wife” aired its first episode with dismal viewer ratings of less than 1 percent.

According to ratings research firm AGB Nielsen Media Research, the drama’s first episode, aired on Monday evening, took 0.84 percent of the viewership nationwide.

Considering the drama was the first TV program for the Korean Wave star after a four-year absence from the small screen, the ratings were seen as weak.

“Good-Bye My Wife” also drew attention prior to airing because Ryu’s wife filed for divorce just before he started promoting the drama.

류시원 ‘굿바이마눌’ 시청률 쪽박

배우 류시원의 안방 복귀작인 종편채널 채널A 월화드라마 ‘굿바이 마눌’의 첫 회의 시청률이 1% 미만으로 나타났다.

시청률 조사회사 AGB닐슨미디어리서치에 따르면 지난 월요일 밤 첫 방송된 ‘굿바이 마눌’은 0.840%의 전국 시청률을 기록했다.

한류스타 류시원의 4년 만에 컴백작이라는 기대에 비해서는 다소 약한 기록이다.

‘굿바이 마눌’은 최근 그의 이혼소송과 맞물려 방송되기 전 큰 화제를 모았다.
