11 children, bus driver hurt in crash

A school bus driver and 11 schoolchildren were injured in northeast China Wednesday when their bus overturned while heading to a kindergarten, authorities said.

Two of the children and the driver of the bus suffered traumatic brain injuries and remained hospitalized after the crash in Harbin in China's Heilongjiang province, Xinhua reported.

The other nine children, who suffered minor injuries, have been discharged from a hospital.

The bus is owned by a privately run kindergarten and the driver is the kindergarten's director, a parent of one of the injured children said. (UPI)
