Foreigners who love Korea and Gangnam life are being sought to act as an honorary publicity ambassadors for Seoul’s Gangnam area. The voluntary publicity staff are being recruited to promote the area via social networking sites and e-mail to their home countries.

Around 100 foreigners living in Korea are being sought for the positions that will run from this month.

Officers will write articles about Gangnam once a month, with selected articles being posted on the district office’s website and distributed to the 160,000 members of the Gangnam-gu newsletter. The authors of the selected articles will receive a cash award, and may be rewarded with free sightseeing and tourist attractions in the area. Bilingual English and Korean speakers are sought so that they can also volunteer as interpreters at international events.
