GLASGOW (AP) ― Celtic maintained a two-point lead over Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premier League as the Glasgow rivals both won 3-0 on Monday.
Celtic’s victory at Dunfermline was secured by Anthony Stokes curling the ball into the bottom corner of the net and Victor Wanyama volleying in a second just before halftime before Charlie Mulgrew completed his side’s 10th successive league win after the break.
Rangers bounced back from its Old Firm derby defeat with a convincing win over Motherwell without the help of top goalscorer Nikica Jelavic.
David Healy marked his first league start of the season with a first-half goal, Sone Aluko doubled Rangers’ lead and an own-goal from Stephen Craigan sealed the victory for the champions.
